Funk Hostel

This hostel is located in a quiet area, less than 10 minute walk from the venue, or 2 tram stations.

The prices for the Kontakt participants (per person):

  • 4 bed mixed dorm : 105 HRK (ca. 14 EUR)
  • 6 bed mixed dorm : 90 HRK (ca. 12 EUR)

If you book the entire room you can get 10% discount.

How to make a reservation:  Send an e- mail to booking(at)funkhostel.hr with number of people, names, date of arrival and date of departure. In subject, please write “Accommodation Eurocon 2012″.

Zagreb Youth Hostel

This is a recently refurbished, rather large hostel halfway between the central Ban Jelačić’s Square and our main venue. The hostel has 6-bed dormitory rooms (with lockers) and 3 and 2-bed rooms with or without ensuite bathroom.

The prices start from around 15 euro (please find the detailed price list here). Credit cards are accepted.

Eurocon members have a 10 % discount and do not have to pay the otherwise obligatory Hostelling International membership (50 kuna per person). But since the hostel’s online booking form does not allow the possibility of promotion codes, here’s what you need do to book:

  • Fill out our online registration form,
  • Contact the hostel through this form by the 16th March at the latest and rember to point out you are a Eurocon member in the Comments and requests section,
  • Wait for confirmation from the hostel,
  • Pay on arrival.

The breakfast can be arranged at a nearby restaurant (a buffet breakfast for around 5 euro). It does not offer free parking, but there is a public garage nearby and you can park on street for 10 kuna (1.5 euro)/hour.

If you are planning a short tour of Croatia before and/or after Kontakt, you can use the 10% discount from the 23rd April to 2nd May in any hostel run by Croatian Youth Hostel Association (i.e. Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar and Veli Lošinj), but we have not pre-booked any rooms there.
